A public lecture by Robert K. Musil, President and CEO of the Rachel Carson Council, an environmental organization envisioned by Rachel Carson. Formerly, Musil served as CEO of Nobel Peace Prize-winning Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR). Musil is Senior Fellow and Adjunct Professor in the School of Public Affairs at American University where he teaches about global climate change and energy policy. His current book is Rachel Carson and Her Sisters: Extraordinary Women Who Have Shaped America’s Environment. Musil earned degrees from Yale and Northwestern Universities and the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.

Currently, Hoffman is the Principal of ColorJar/SCALE, an entity he founded to provide consulting to entrepreneurs around the world. Hoffman has advised the White House, the State Department, and the United Nations on economic growth initiatives and entrepreneurship programs. He serves on boards of companies around the world. His contributions to the field of entrepreneurship earned him the National CEO Council’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Jeff is a graduate of Yale University.

He has both worked for – and protested against – prestigious international organizations such as the World Bank and the World Trade Organization. Patel is a Research Professor at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas, Austin. A prolific author, his most recent book is titled The Value of Nothing: How to Reshape Market Society and Redefine Democracy. Patel earned a B.A. at the University of Oxford, an M.Sc at the London School of Economics, and a Ph.D. at Cornell University.

Ten Myths About (and Real Solutions to) America’s Energy Crisis, debunks the myths that warp our current debate over energy and offers new solutions to the real problems we face in America. Abraham is Chairman of the Board of AREVA, Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a J.D. from Harvard University.
